The aims of activities organised by Hanasaari are:

• to increase mutual understanding between Finland and Sweden
• to strengthen the ties between both countries’ culture, business and industry, and citizens.
• to generate and foster interest towards Swedish society and cultural life.

Hanasaari seeks to make its activities accessible to as many people as possible. To this end, we endeavour to lower the language barriers and help visitors to secure the funding required for participation in our programme activities. Together, we can find the best ways to implement co-operation and the exchange of experience

The programme and events are planned in collaboration with our trustee bodies and they evolve in constant interaction with the surrounding society and Swedish and Finnish cultural lives. Our priorities are selected to enable us to target our inputs and efforts appropriately.
