The Foundation’s next application period is 1–29 February 2012.The submitted applications must relate to projects that will be implemented between May 2012 and June 2013. Decisions regarding the awarding of grants and scholarships will be made at the end of March.
Grants and scholarships can be awarded for
- exchange activities in the fields of architecture, visual arts/applied art, cinematography and photography, music, theatre, dance, literature, etc.
- learning more about another Nordic country’s cultural, social and economic conditions
- language studies
- scientific research (especially in the fields of humanities and social sciences)
- translation of literature
- school camps
The grants and scholarships are not awarded for
- joint Scandinavian projects (unless exceptionally for a bilateral sector thereof,
- if such sector is integrally associated with the scope of the Foundations’ activities)
- basic education and studies that are eligible for the student benefit
- retroactively; the project should be started prior to the Board’s decision
- municipality twinning activities
Payment of awarded grants and scholarships
The grant or scholarship recipient must submit a written payment request to the secretariat. Possible extensions to the grant or scholarship or changes in their purpose of use must be applied for in writing.
