The good taste of locally produced food

Hanasaari’s Restaurant Johannes is participating in the programme to promote modern Scandinavian food, and Kim Palhus, Restaurant Operations Manager at our restaurant, is one of the programme’s 15 Nordic food ambassadors.

With the help of this programme, the Scandinavian governments wish to increase awareness of this geographic area on the culinary map. It focuses on crisp and healthy Scandinavian food lovingly prepared with wholesome natural produce. One of the programme’s aims is to bring food that enhances health and the quality of life to people.

Hanasaari focuses particular attention on locally produced foods and has built a network of local producers. Both small and big food producers participate in the programme and we have a broad selection of locally produced foods: beans, garlic, lamb, fish, fruits and vegetables to name a few.
