Nordic Nights is a culture and science festival arranged for the first time on 9 and 10 June 2017 at Hanaholmen.
Hanaholmen is located a stone´s throw away from Helsinki with the beautiful Finnish archipelago just outside the window.
During the festival you enjoy superb food and drink, while listening to singer-songwriters Anna Järvinen and Iiris Viljanen or famous danish pastry cook Mette Blomsterberg, who are among the performers set to take the stage during the festival
You also do not want miss the documentary film Bugs and Canadian researcher Josh Evans, who is a graduate of Yale University where he studied humanities and sustainable food systems.
He was the manager of a project by Nordic food lab which investigated the gastronomic traditions and potential of insects in cultures around the world. BUGS – directed by Andreas Johnsen, in which Josh Evans is one of the main characters – is one of most compelling documentaries about food in the past few years. Q&A with Josh after the screening.
