7.3.2024 12:30 - 15:00

How can productivity in business be improved?

Since the financial crisis, productivity growth has slowed significantly in most OECD countries. In the 2024 SNS Economic Policy Council report, four national economists under the leadership of Professor Lars Persson, professor of economics at The Research Institute of Industrial Economics (IFN), examine factors that affect productivity development in the business world, with a focus on Sweden.

With detailed Swedish data on companies and employees during the period 2000–2021, they study how productivity varies between different industries and over time and what characterizes companies with good productivity development. They also discuss policy measures that can increase productivity in businesses.

Hanaholmen, in collaboration with SNS and the Swedish Embassy in Helsinki, arranges a presentation of the SNS Economic Policy Council report in Finland where, in addition to a presentation of the report by Professor Lars Persson, we will also hear an expert panel from Finland discuss the productivity development in Finland and the differences between our countries.

The event is free of charge but requires registration in advance through the link below.

The event will be held in English.
