22 - 23.11.2021

For invited guests only.

Hanaholmen – the Swedish-Finnish Culture Centre offers an annual cultural policy dialogue day with current cultural policy themes in Sweden and Finland with the aim of creating and confirming community and cooperation between the countries. This year, themes are the interface between education policy and cultural policy; access to arts education at all school levels, the recruitment to art programs in higher education and the way out to working life.

This networking event gathers invited participants from education in the field of music, fine arts and performing arts in Finland and Sweden to discuss and share visions and goals in higher artistic educations today. How do they identify and tackle challenges and create debate about the importance of art and education for society? How to promote renewal and innovation in artistic education and research? And how to pursue collaboration and interdisciplinary projects, broadened recruitment and regrowth?

The seminar presents ongoing work for creating visions of the continuity of education in the fields of visual and performing arts, as well as the recently completed vision work in Finnish music education and how its results are applied in practice.
